Alabama Congressman Questions Nancy Pelosi's Political Skills and Mental Health

The Huntsville Times reports that congressman Parker Griffith (D-Huntsville) stated he would not repeat his vote for Nancy Pelosi for Speakerette of the House. This revelation came during a health care town hall meeting in which the alleged "blue dog" tried to distance himself from the Speakerette.

Christie Carden, the 25-year-old organizer of the Huntsville Tea Party Movement, asked if he would vote for Pelosi for speaker again. Griffith said that if matter came up for a vote today, "I would not vote for her. Someone that divisive and that polarizing cannot bring us together."

Now, Alabamans seem to be divided on Griffith's "Blue Dog" street cred, but the point is that Griffith is representative of Democrats who represent districts in Real America who are not only concerned with the attempted hostile takeover of American health care, but also worried about the Leftist extremism that drives the party's leadership. Whether Griffith is a legitimate "conservative Democrat" is less important than the fact that the Democrats' plantation fences are crumbling. If there was any doubt, Griffith responded to a questioner who wondered if the congressman would face consequences in D.C. by saying

"If she doesn't like it, I've got a gift certificate to the mental health
center."

Everybody was jumping on the Obama-Pelosi-Reid ship last fall when it look like "The Love Boat" with smooth sailing ahead in a sea of hope and change. Now, they look more like the Titanic with arrogant, short-sighted and greedy leaders trying to move too far too fast and crashing into the solid rock known as Real America. At least they know Big Media will keep playing their tune until they are totally submerged.
