Virginia's 9th District: Call Rick Boucher About Waxman-Markey Cap-and-Trade

I just called Congressman Rick Boucher's office and left a message asking him to vote "no" on the Waxman-Markey Cap-and-Trade bill that will crate astronomical increases in energy costs for all Americans. As is always the case when Congress places greater burdens on the economy, the middle class and poor will be hit hardest with massive increases in home and highway energy costs.

If you live in the 9th District of Virginia, call Congressman Rick Boucher at 1-202-225-3861 and tell him to protect your interests. Boucher will tout his work with Henry Waxman to secure pork out of the deal for southwest Virginia coal producers, but that will not help keep the costs down for consumers. Call Congressman Boucher and remind him that he should represent his constituents and not the radical Left that seeks to wreck the American economy.

You can email Congressman Boucher here.

  1. Thanks for your efforts to stop the disaster that is Cap & Trade. I called Boucher's office & the woman who answered attempted to defend Cap & Trade to me. I let them know Cap & Trade is bad for our area & bad for America and told her not to defend Cap & Trade to me. As you likely know, he voted for the bill. He's amounted to little more than a rubber stamp for this administration & I'm happy to hear he won't be running unopposed in 2010.

  2. I am more afraid now than at any time in my 54 years. This bunch is trying (and just might)hijack our country. When is it going to stop! If a person speaks against them the person is shouted down. The last United Mine Workers Paper sent to its members was just a political newsletter for cap and trade. Pro everything Oboma and made fun of any other opinion. This has to stop now
